60Si2MnA Spring Steel

60Si2MnA is an alloy element with low alloy element content, high hardenability, high toughness and plasticity, low decarburization tendency, good tempering stability, good hot working performance, and low cost. It is used to replace 60Si2Mn in the production of leaf springs for heavy-duty, medium, and small cars, as well as other medium-sized sectional leaf springs and coil springs.

Production process

60Si2MnA strength Hardness Both elasticity and hardenability are higher than those of 65 steel, with overheating sensitivity and tendency towards tempering brittleness. Water quenching has a tendency to form cracks. The machinability of the annealed state is still acceptable, the cold deformation plasticity is low, and the weldability is poor. Plate springs subjected to moderate loads, spiral springs with a diameter of 7-20mm, and spring washers Spring ring. High wear resistant parts, such as grinding machine spindles Spring clip Precision machine tool screw Cutting knife The collar on the spiral roller bearing Railway rails, etc.

60Si2MnA spring steel wire belongs to alloy spring steel, mainly composed of silicon, manganese, and a small amount of carbon. The reasonable proportion of its chemical composition gives this steel wire excellent elasticity and strength. Specifically, the content of silicon can improve the hardness and wear resistance of steel wire, while manganese helps to improve the strength and toughness of steel. The combined effect of these two factors makes 60Si2MnA perform well in various spring applications.
