Boiler steel plate is one of the most important materials in boiler manufacturing. It mainly refers to hot-rolled special carbon steel and low alloy used for manufacturing important parts such as boiler shell, drum, header cover, and hanger. The main materials are high-quality structural steel and low-alloy heat-resistant steel. Commonly used boiler steels are low-carbon killed steel smelted in open hearth furnace or low-carbon steel smelted by electric furnace.
The carbon content Wc is in the range of 0.16%-0.26%. Since the boiler steel plate is operated at a medium temperature (350º C or lower) high pressure state, in addition to being subjected to high pressure, it is also subjected to impact, fatigue load and corrosion of water and gas.
