Soft Annealing
Heat to 650-700oC, cool slowly.
Normalizing
Temperature: 880-920oC.
Hardening
Harden from a temperature of 860-900oC followed by water quenching.
Tempering
Tempering temperature: 550-660oC.
Forging
Hot forming temperature: 1100-850oC.
Material Notes
Machinability and weldability are fair. Cold formability of these steels is good to excellent. This grade responds favorably to heat treating and cold work.
