Medium carbon quenched and tempered steel, cold heading die steel. This steel is moderately priced, easy to process, and can achieve certain toughness, plasticity, and wear resistance after appropriate heat treatment. Normalization can promote tissue refinement, approach equilibrium state, and improve the cutting performance of the blank. Tempering at a temperature of 550~570 ℃ results in the best comprehensive mechanical properties of the steel. The hardenability of this steel is higher than that of 45 steel, making it suitable for surface hardening treatments such as high-frequency quenching and flame quenching.
